If you are in B’ham and have time, you can go to Pepper Place today. It’s their last market of the year. There are folks there selling beef. Some will sell wholes, halves, or quarters. I imagine you will have to get on a waiting list.

Im just seeing daylight on hogs right now, actually have a few that will be ready after first of year, that arent sold. Beef is gonna be a while. Every thing i have coming up is sold. Im starting to worry, people arw going to get tired of waiting on me and go somewhere else. I never dreamed id be in this situation two years ago. It just takes a year to raise production on beef. Thank you to all on here who have purchased and i hope its been worth the wait ill be glad to put you on the list if you like.

I second Diamond J. That's where we get ours from. We've got one coming up in January.

Here’s a steer I got back yesterday. F2 Wagyu/Angus(3/4 blood Wagyu) I have another kill date the 2nd week of January if you’re interested. I can send you pics via text if that link doesn’t work, I’m not very good with phones/computers.

I have 4 steers ready for the hook whenever needed and another 25 I’m feeding out. Slaughter weight has ranged from 1350 to 1610, I usually feed them out to around 28 months. If you’re looking for prime + grading I’m hard to beat. Born raised and fed out right here in Barbour County, AL. I use Sowega in Colquit, Ga for processing but I can haul wherever if we make a deal👍

Id love to talk to you about that waygu. Ive talked to several people who raised them but no one who actually slaughtered them. I have no desire to change breeds at this point, but genetics intrest me

I’ll tell you all I know about them buddy. I don’t see the value in running them unless you’re gonna undress them at the end. They’ll get discounted unless you can backup your sale with carcass data. They aren’t what folks are used to looking at/wanting in a pasture until they get past about the 24mo mark. Gotta keep creep feed out for the calves just about as soon as they hit the ground, wag influenced momma cows aren’t the best moms. They aren’t usually the best at producing milk. It’s the inside that counts with them. I gotta go find a busted water line this morning but holler at me sometime this week if you want to. I can’t be too far down the road from you, I grew up hunting around Perote. If I don’t answer shoot me a text, my phone is usually in the truck I don’t have much service around here anyway.
