So to begin with the 2 does per day was going to wreck the deer population this year to the point of no return. But now that the no one is actively killing does, and the numbers are less than predicted, and the all seeing all knowing charts and graphs aren’t reflecting the prediction, the deer population has already been wrecked. Am I interpreting this correctly?
Just trying to make sure I stay caught up

That's it, success at last.

Apparently I suck at posting links to anywhere else.
Your map almost perfectly coincides with the areas of the state in the most severe drought.

The doe numbers are down for many of these counties because they are coming off of what are likely record high doe harvests last year…..They are for sure the highest in the last 6 years……..Doe harvest in counties like Blount for example were 50% higher last year than 5 years ago…….

Serious question Matt as they say…….. I can show you trend lines for counties from Blount to Bullock that all show increasing harvest trends with 40-50% spikes in doe harvest over the last few years….lots of counties…….Do you think all of that increased doe harvest was warranted in all of these counties??....Do you think it happened without any negative impact to any of them?? Btw.....Fayette Co is not one of them.....just sayin.

Here's another thought. How many of those recorded does, are not really does? How many people are quartering up their deer in coolers at the camp and game checking bucks as does, so that they dont have to burn one of their 3 buck limit on a small buck? Gives them the required harvest ID number needed for the processor, when they drop that ice chest full of meat off at the processor, from their "doe". Once again Harold, way too many unaccounted for variables, and ways to game and cheat the system, to view anything about the game check kill numbers as being even remotely correct, let alone the gospel that you seem to feel they are.

^^^^^ ding ding ding. We’ve got a winner.
I know ALOT of people that do this. I also know a lot of people that just don’t report. Those numbers provided by the state I’d bet were about as accurate as if my 7 year old had put them together.

Had a local tell me he’s never e-checked a buck as a buck, which I do not respect. I do wish numbers were reported accurately and those like CNC who put in analytical effort had reliable data.

Dang!! I never thought of game checking my bucks as does. I guess the last buck I killed in Alabama was the last buck I ever killed. Now us coonasses can kill all the bucks too.

I wish I could kill enough to have to worry about running out of bucks . One buck every other year or so I’m no threat
