Great looking rifle and the M70 Super Grade is on my short list. Just not there yet since I had a daughter turn 16 this fall.

The Supergrades are a real bargain for what you are getting. They are quality rifles made the way they used to make them.

Dang you 338. I need another deer rifle about like I need a hole in the head. I almost bought that same rifle, in the same caliber, about 30 yrs ago and have always regretted not picking it up. Wife did ask me what I wanted her to get me for Christmas this morning. LOL. Safe is overly full too, so I'll have to get another safe too, if I buy it. Decisions decisions. Somebody buy this quick and get it gone before this temptation overcomes my better judgement. Great gun in a great caliber.

That is a fine damn rifle. If it was in another caliber I would be interested. I already have a .264 Win mag in a pre 64 Model 70. Tack driver. GLWS.

My safes are overflowing and I'm looking at a couple more guns. This one has seen very little action, never killed anything but paper.

Time to thin the herd before I start adding again.

It's an addiction...

Equivalent to a 270/308 on the recoil chart.
Has recoil but isn’t extreme.

243 is generally considered to be a dandy of a youth cartridge, it has 9.2 ftlbs of recoil.
264Win Mag has 17.7 ftlbs
