Thomas Massie introduced a bill that has a lot of support. Pam Bondi doesn't like it, because she is a puppet of a foreign country and a democrat. https://x.com/i/trending/1996220167194550509https://x.com/RepThomasMassie/status/1996181724913627493I introduced the National Constitutional Carry Act because no one should have to beg the government to exercise a constitutionally protected right anywhere in the country. Twenty-nine states already acknowledge this reality; let’s make it fifty.

I like the hell out of it. Should not have to pay for a permit. Ever
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

I'm guessing a LOT of law enforcement folks don't like it....I don't personally know a ton of "anti-2A" people, but most of the ones I do know are LEO's. And every single one of them carries even when off-duty, but they think the "regular citizen's" rights to own/carry firearms should be significantly limited. Rules for thee, not for me

That would be great. it was a bummer to travel recently thru Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, etc... and have to worry about carrying and not getting busted even though I have an unrestricted permit.

A national standard would be nice. You shouldn't have to have a law degree just because you crossed state lines.

Yup and the only exception is no carry for felons You kinda lose certain rights as a convicted felon. There’s a process depending on conviction if one can get the right back.

When someone tells me the Constitution guarantees everyone the Right to Carry, I always ask them if they mean to include Felons in that mix? That kind of stumps them. Some say "Yes, that means everyone." While I disagree with them, I'm OK with them being straightforward and honest. If they hold out for carrying to be legal for everyone, including Felons, it'll never happen.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

If convicted felons lose their second amendment rights should they also lose their 1st amendment rights, and the other rights as well?

If convicted felons lose their second amendment rights should they also lose their 1st amendment rights, and the other rights as well? I look at "losing rights" kinda like the "once saved/always saved" argument with Calvinists. Traditionally, Calvinism believes you cannot lose your salvation. I would absolutely agree with them that one cannot "lose" their salvation, but one can certainly forfeit it by choice (Hebrews 6:4-6 being the obvious evidence). In the same regard, I would argue that rights being taken away from a convicted felon are not "lost", but forfeited by choice through their actions. Now, which rights they should forfeit is a different discussion, but I'm perfectly fine with their 2A rights being one of them, at least in cases of violent crime.

Rules for thee, not for me I don't always carry with me. I have one not too far away though, but understand that a LEO deals with idiots with guns everyday. They've seen the worst of the worst. Simply put, some people do not need to carry guns for the safety of us all. You don't see that like I and the rest of LE did/does and be happy you don't. As for the thee part, LEOs train, study and prove their proficiency with firearms at least once if not more times per year? Are you willing and able to do this? Now if everybody that carries does this, I'd be all for it.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

If convicted felons lose their second amendment rights should they also lose their 1st amendment rights, and the other rights as well? Voting is one them. "Felony conviction of moral turpitude in Alabama There are 46 crimes of moral turpitude that cause a loss of voting rights, however, rights can be restored if certain conditions are met. Your voting rights are permanently removed if you have been convicted of treason, were impeached, or have received the death penalty. If you have been convicted of a crime of moral turpitude and have already received either: a pardon that includes restoration of civic rights a Certificate of Eligibility to Register to Vote Submit a copy of your pardon or certificate to your county board of registrars and register to vote."

The feds should have no say on what goes on with arms within states unless it affects the relationship between state and federal. Militias would. Pocket pistols would not. This is an impractical take, but the correct one.

Told one of the "Not everybody should own guns" cop that criminals should tape full size B27 targets front and back while in the act cause that way police couldn't hit them. He said bad things about my mother and tried to hurt my feelings fortunately for me Aldeer had toughened up my skin at that point. Have to accept the bad freedom things along with the good cause if you don't you can hang together or separately tyrants won't care.
