As of late 2025, approximately 19.95 million bitcoins have been mined, leaving just over 1 million bitcoins left to be mined from the total 21 million supply. The remaining bitcoins will be mined gradually over the next century, with the last one expected to be in circulation around the year 2140, and their creation rate will continue to decrease due to scheduled "halving" events.

The miners seem to me to be hunting for a pin in in a very large hay field. it is basically a $100 gamble or if you upgrade, a $300 gamble.
If you have the extra funds available and understand that the odds of actually getting a bitcoin are slim to none, and you still want to try, go for it with eyes wide open and have fun with it.

Let us know how it goes and when you hit big money!!

Also, look into getting a good wallet for them and keep the password in a very, very safe place. People have lost them because they lost the password to the wallet.

I've tried to understand it but don't. I put a little in bitcoin for shits and giggles, aka gambling. No way would I put significant green into something I don't understand.
