My precious daughter has stage four pancreatic cancer. Since March of 2023 we have prayed fervently for healing to the point that she could have surgery to remove the tumors. God has heard the prayers of many saints and in His faithfulness has gotten her through chemo, radiation and every other treatment to the point that she is having surgery this morning at MD Anderson in Houston. Please pray for her, the surgeons, the nurses and all those that will be attending to her. Also, for her husband and children. God is faithful to hear our prayers and answers them according to His perfect will.

Update: The outcome was not what we wanted or expected. They were able to remove some of the cancer but in the process discovered other spots that didn’t show up on scans. Attempting to remove all would be counterproductive to any chemo, radiation or other treatment so they closed without removing the tumor on the pancreas. The good news is that the tumor on the pancreas has basically been reduced to scar tissue by previous treatments. As soon as she recovers from the surgery, she will be back on maintenance chemo. To use the doctor’s vernacular, we haven’t used up our first gun (current chemo regimen) yet and still have more in the arsenal.
This past Sunday was the first Sunday of Advent and we lit the candle of Hope. We’re holding that candle high and going to let it burn brightly. God is good at all times and in all circumstances. Thank you for your prayers.
