Heck I am to busy chasing these beavers . There mortality rates are bad everywhere where I can find them

Well it was cool this morning. Seen deer feeding through oak flat all morning. Had a doe eat acorns with coffee and salt on them. I had just peed out of my ladder stand. So that tells you how spooked she was. Probably heard 15 shots versus 3 opening day. I am so glad the deer are still alive. Several people went in the heat this evening did not see anything

Here they are hot off the presses......I think its safe to say that opening weekend was pretty slow......Again, this is the change compared to this same date last season

When have I ever said any different??......I may have said 60-70% or something of that nature but it really doesnt matter as far as the numbers I'm producing.....We're looking at the percentage of increase or decrease.....For example, Bullock Co doe harvest increased by almost 50% a couple of years ago going from 2000 to 2950.......Depending on compliance rates that real number may be 4000 per year and they killed 5800 a couple years ago.....Whatever the real number we know with pretty good accuracy that it went up about 50%......That's why the exact compliance rate is way down my list of concerns as far as producing these numbers were looking at.......

Sometimes I cant figure out whether some of you are just pretending not to understand the information or whether you truly just don’t understand…..There’s for sure some of the latter occurring

Well to be fair, your saying that you think it’s at 60% is not information. It’s just your opinion. This in a nutshell shell is what I have an issue with. If you listen to biologists when they discuss wildlife management, they usually form conclusions based on facts. And if it’s not based on facts, they preface it by saying this is my opinion. Your “information” is filled with words like “likely”. And when someone doesn’t agree with your opinion, you say they have an agenda and are refusing to see the “information”. The truth is it’s not always information, and if it is information, it could mean a ton of different things.

Just like above, you are ignoring the fact that the compliance rate affects the percentages. If the compliance rate goes down or up, the percentage rate change could be skewed. Especially if it is less than 1-2%. The fact is that your experiment isn’t controlled enough to get proof that your opinion is correct. It could be correct, but it could also very easily be incorrect.

That’s the amount of deer game check is showing reported compared to the hunter survey………This is how they said they would gauge compliance at first

What if you never complied with returning the survey? I threw them all away.

I wasn't joking. I think I got a survey 3 different times and never sent them back. It was a few years ago though.
