Hey CNC, let me ask a question. It’s legit. Not trying to argue. Just wanna know where you’re at on expectations. What would be your target population in acres per deer on the landscape?
Personally, if I’m managing 640 acres, I’d want 20% less than carrying capacity. So if carrying capacity was 30, I want 24. Ideally at 1.5 to 1 with bucks aged nubbin to old. Here’s the kicker that Alabama clubs miss…that is ONLY going to allow buck harvest of one or two animals a year! So you’re really screwed on quality management with 2,000 acres and ten members all hoping to fill state legal buck tags.
