Bought a Winchester XPR today in 7mm-08 on a whim. Never had thought much on the round but thought I’d change things up a bit. Gonna start with some hornady sst 139’s and go from there.

It's a great whitetail round. No flies on it whatsoever.

Great round.

Bought my son one when he was about 13 or 14. Liked it so much I bought one for myself. I bought the Remington 700 Mountain Rifle and its my go to rifle for hunting in the woods. Mine shoots Federal Fusions in140 grain just fine.

Can't go wrong with a 7 08.

Any 140 gr bullet will get the job done. The 120 TTSX is also a solid choice.

Isaac Gallagher custom built me one last year. It's now my favorite rifle and caliber.

Never heard anything negative. It's optimal, at least on paper, if you want to cut the barrel down short for a suppressor.

I know a whole entire family of killers who use that round and hoard 140gr Fusion.

I’ve always been a big fan of this cartridge and was wanting one for years. Never could find a left handed bolt action in stock anywhere locally so I settled on the 308 because everyone had a left handed one. Last year I decided it was time to get one and I wanted the Tikka T3x Hunter in a left handed bolt action. I had a tough time finding one but one gun shot was able to find me one. It has become my go to rifle now and has proven itself to be a sure nuff killing machine. Especially with the 140gr Accubonds.

I’ve been using a Remington Model Seven SS in 7-08 for years. I killed my elk with it this year.

I like Nosler bullets, so I’ve used 120 grain NBTs, 140 grain Partitions, and 140 grain Accubonds. All of them are great bullets and perform very well.
