After 2 years of trying my 13 year old finally connected with a deer yesterday afternoon. We have a friend with some land that was generous enough to let us hunt it this bow season. He and his brother have had multiple opportunities but Nathan connected yesterday on a 25 yard shot. He shot it for a doe but we found out it was a little spike when we found him. I’m proud of him. He’s worked hard all year getting proficient enough to shoot a deer and he made a great shot. The deer didn’t go far. I felt like it was a heck of an accomplishment for a 13 year old. I was a lot older before I finally killed one.
