Nothing much doing in Illinois I got a reply text Wednesday from a friend who is up there hunting (in Illinois) and it reads... Me...Hey bud, U climbed up this evening on the Beaver Moon? Him...Yes and I've already seen 2 shooters, one big 10 with bladed 2's and 3's and just now had a hammer 8 point at 35 but stayed in the thick crap... Me...Oh My!!! You hitting that grunt any? Him...Yes, They're grunting so much they ain't paying me any attention. These suckers are coming out of the ground like fire ants and it's 70 degrees... Me...Thats crazy Him...I'll holler at you this evening... Man if that don't get you fired up, something is wrong with you, and I ain't even there... Hang in there Turkey_neck, when it does break loose, you are in the right place to kill the deer of your dreams, and It don't take but a few seconds to turn things around...Good Luck and Happy Hunting!!! And, As always...Keep us posted....

It don't take but a few seconds to turn things around... Truest words ever for hunting and fishing. Grandpapa always said a bad day of fishing can change with one bite and a bad hunting season can change in 30 seconds. Man I'm looking forward to this cold front.

Shot the big boy this afternoon. Gut shot. Going after him with CNC tomorrow morning. Hopefully will be sending pics tomorrow
