What are you guys seeing? Walmarks hasn’t reduced their prices, still 8.97 a bag. I think the Piggly Wiggly in Dothan may be a tad cheaper.

Pallet price was $7.50 in August. Had to drive an hour to a farm. His feed wheat was $10 by the bag. Didn't ask pallet price.

I'll have to check with my farmer neighbors , but I'll guess in bulk /55 gal barrel fairly cheap as yields were high and price was cheap this year.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

If they just fill drums, I use the 27 gallon black plastic totes from home depot. 2 of those are 54 gallons.

Thrashers feed bessemer and woodstock $7.59 per 50lb... i think apple is $11.99 or 12.99.
I used to buy apple, until I realised the Mt.dew corn was better. Saved me a ton of money vs the price of buying apple corn.

I buy bulk and put in tote bags. Got about a ton last week at a little over 8 cents/lb. If you have a trailer and a tractor with FEL it’s the way to go. Already emptied one bag just getting all the feeders filled

We do get ours from the local farmer. I haven’t talked to him to see what a 55gal drum will costed this year. I’ll go visit with him next week and find out. Great gentleman to visit with.

I put it in ibc totes. Cut the tops out and made doors out of the tops with piano hinges. I believe if you put a sliding gate at the bottom to let the corn out, it would be perfect. Were scooping with a bucket. Ill have gates in them next year. I believe the totes will hold about 2200lbs apiece, if i did my math right. I paid $340 for the two totes full, i reckon that would be $160/ton nearabout. It was aprox. $4.25 a bushel
