Just tells you all that you need to now about the population demographics of those states and cities and their party affiliation. It's not a game, fight or a war, where the best team can pull out the win, the baddest man can beat the crap out of the bigger guy, or the smartest general and best equipped army can defeat the larger force. This is an election, and it is simply a numbers game. If 65% of the state or city is made up of registered democrats, then the election is already decided before the first vote is cast. Use welfare, subsidized housing, and freebies to control and concentrate your voting base into specific geographic areas and turn those areas into benefit distribution centers, thus becoming population hubs, and you're guaranteed the win in those small geographic areas. It's why if you look at a map of how the US voted last election 90+% of the total land mass of the United States is solid red with just a few blue dots and areas in every state.
