Strategically Egypt is more important than Israel. If anything we should be making more effort to controlling Egypt with our finances and military machine than Israel. But for some stupid reason or another we give the equivalent of 10 US states worth of resources to a country that has no natural resources and is mostly strategically useless.

Correct Skinny. I’d add, that I have yet to see the passage in the Bible, that calls for Christians to be taxed by their nation-state for the purpose of sending money to support the secular state of Israel. Why is it our government has to be involved? Could the church not collect an offering to send to Israel and/or collect an offering to send to Jewish NGO’s? And why should taxes levied against American citizens be sent to any other nation? And the big one, why are they allowed to skirt FARA regulations in order to lobby our politicians to send that tax money to their country, when no other country is allowed to do so?

Why does support have to be money? I can support something and not pay a penny for it. While I don't agree with Israel being evil, I also don't believe we should be giving them anything. If they want to buy something, fine. But pay for it. It's not our job to support a single welfare recipient, much less an entire nation or nations. We need to keep our money here. If we have money to send overseas, we need to stop taxing Americans and give that money back to them.
Government overreach is real and needs to stop. Ally or enemy it's all the same to me. I support Israel's right to exist. Nothing more. The problem is most people with any sense sees Arabs/Muslims as evil, therefore their enemy is good.
Israel has shown on more than one occasion they aren't good quite often. The bible has multiple instances of God punishing them. Why are we supposed to ignore that?
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

I don’t understand the whole “gods chosen people” line of thinking.
They don’t accept Jesus as the son of god.
God only lets us into heaven through his son, Jesus Christ.
So is god sending his chosen people to hell or do they get a pass?

I am not in favor of seding our tax dollars anywhere outside the US. Too little actually does "good works" and to helps the US , much of it is kickbacks and $ laundering for politicians.

We don't have money for any foreign aid. Our debt is so high, we should just tell them sorry we don't have the money.... check with us next year.
