They have been discontinuing certain models Some say they’ll compete with a more modular design

They’re doing it to make the slides incapable of being modified by a switch. They’re flying off the shelves.

that's a shame since the 43x and 48 (if you convert to all-metal double stack mags) may be the single most perfect handgun ever built

Those are staying. 43 43X 48. Naturally Dave can't post coherent stuff.

Been seeing it’s about the lawsuits and this is the cheaper route. Plus with the frenzied buying it’s a good quick infusion of cash and clearing out inventory. Now they can roll out their new models and be flush with cash. Or at least until legal fees kick in.

Theyll not stop the getting sued. Too many old glocks out there. Then if people dont like the new guns, theyve pretty much destroyed their business so the democrats will get off theie backs about the switch.

It’s a federal crime to convert any semiautomatic firearm to fully automatic. Just because it is supposedly easy to convert shouldn’t make Glock or any other firearm manufacturer liable.

They’ll frame it like the gun companies that used to make open bolt guns or that guy who made business cards shaped like lightning links you could cut out. It’s too subjective. Sandy hook lawsuit helped bankrupt Remington.

I was fortunate enough to be able to shoot a Glock 18 that has a legal selector switch when I attended a Glock law enforcement firearms school while a firearms instructor for FHP. It was fun to shoot but the mp5 was more fun.

This capitulation by Glock reminds me of the S&W deal with the Clinton administration.

I think it was more of a business move. Declining sales seemed to be an issue since most other manufacturers had taken a lot of their market share if much newer designs and cool factors. I think teenagers told Glock hey no better time than now cause we don’t now where this is headed.
But I get the comparison. One reason I’ve not looked at a smith since
