2019 We had a deficit of 4.6% GDP; 2024 was 6.4%. Most of that was interest. I"m hopeful that POTUS will continue to reduce the deficit - tariffs and other measures. I agree that we can't afford it. But I"m not sure I can place a value on my grandchildren speaking English.
