Perhaps some are making a deal with the devil - same could be said for plenty of occupations I'd say. I'd counter that some are choosing to serve their country by performing jobs and are being underpaid compared to their counterparts in the commercial sector. No doubt that there is some fat to be trimmed within the Government. That said, I'll never agree that all Government employees are waste or whatever we choose to call them. Some functions within the DoD would have trouble without civilians providing the knowledge base and continuity. I guess I'm biased but whatever. I'm a fan of what's going on, but I have issue with some of the takes here. I'm trying to understand some of the perspectives.
