Only mineral salt has put on the stump. The hole is about a foot deep on the lower side of the stump.
BTW, he is still smiling.

Most likely a once in a lifetime kill. Congrats to the young hunter. I know a full body mount would be very expensive, but please tell me you're at least getting a rug made from the hide.
