So far for me and mine ...no effect ...yet.
I had a INR appointment ..I says to the nurses aids ... the Democrats want over a trillion dollars to give away... I said they're crazy and that's insane amount of money to just hand out to them and I'm all against it...the girls said ...it sure is and they are... ..I went over and got me a seat waiting for my appointment.
So I sit down and say to an old couple waiting for their appointment , look oh good the cooking channel is on,, then I ask them what they're having for dinner ,,, they don't look at me or say a word .. not a peep.. they both get up and I hear the woman tell her dude I can't sit here by this man , he's for making people starve, they go sit on the other side of the waiting room, then and old woman gets up and sits in one of the chairs the couple were in... says to me in a low tone ,, I see it like you do she says, says the dems are nuts I was nodding my head yeah ...nuts I said.
Turns out the radical lefty couple that got up and changed their seating started talking to some black folks and thought they had found some comrades on their side of the fence... this old black dude starts laughing and says in a normal tone dem democrats ain't just nuts their stupid too... then I get called in for my appointment. I get that alot. People getting up and not wanting to talk to me

We had enough funds to keep the campground at Pickensville open this month...after next Friday they will do refund and any campers there will have until about Sunday to leave(grace period)before I lock the gates until further notice...any reservations after Friday will be cancelled and refunded until further notice..

Im the Fuel Officer for the Base. We keep all the training aircraft, including the Blue Angels in the air. We always like to say, without Jet Fuel, Pilots are just pedestrians.

I went to a va dr a week or so ago. I asked him if he was working for free? He asked me what iwas talking about. I said its all over tv that government employees are not getting paid. He said that was bs, him and everyone he knew there was getting there regular check. Asked my sil, whos in the military. He said he didnt know where it was coming from but him and all his buddies were getting paid. Hmmmmm I know some firefighters who are Fed employees and they aren’t getting paid. Another girl I know is in the military in some form and she says she’s not getting paid

Buddy of mine is a forester with the COE. He handles gov timber sales, grazing and dredge/material contracts. He is still working and technically not getting paid. Somebody has to oversee that work and the incoming $$ to make sure nobody fudges. If they send him home, the contractors won't be supervised and will have to cease work. There's a crap ton of folks who will be affected just in his realm.

A few 1000 better be glad we are still working without paychecks in North Alabama. Otherwise they’d be without product to keep 1000s working in Decatur and Guntersville.
But thats what us worthless employees do. No mind bills can’t be paid by some.

A conversation this morning with a financial guy. He was saying it kinda needs to be shut down a while longer. I ask why. Response was. It will make people stop foolish spending. Save for these days. Not just gov shut down,but sickness the unexpected he named several that he sees. He said too many people live pay check by pay check. Spending on cars, trips, toys, junk they don’t need to be doing because they think they can afford it. Now look wish they had that Disney trip back. He did say folks are feeling it he get calls daily how to get money from accounts without a penalty.

One of my best friends is a government employee and the best telecom tech that I ever had. He's also continuing to battle incurable cancer as he has for about 4 years now. He has to have infusions that are crazy expensive and has a wife and 2 teen daughters at home. THAT is one example of the human side of this.
