Another tragedy. One of my friends lost his eight year old grandson in a four wheeler accident. I don't know the details - I didn't ask. The boy was air lifted to Huntsville then to Birmingham Children's Hospital. He had severe traumatic head injuries. He was an only child and my friend's only grandchild. As you can imagine the loss is devasting. Not being close to his daughter or family I stayed at his daughter's house all afternoon during the services. There is a very serious meth problem around here and sadly break ins and such are common. They have a beautiful place out in the country and rather isolated. The beauty can't offset the sadness. It was OK, quiet, I read, walked around some. Good man Roadkill. I hate funerals but I know often the best way to honor a family that is hurting is to make sure they are not made to suffer further grief. Thieves monitor who and when families are at funerals so I've done sitting duties before too. Always keep this in mind when someone passes away.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I have seen several slow rollers drive by. They were definitely sniffing. I just make sure I am completely visible and they can see I'm watching them.
