Does anyone know roughly how old a fawn would be that still has spots but some fading has begun? A property I am fairly new to in South AL has fawns with fading spots right now and they look too large to be conceived in mid to late January when the rut occurs for most of that area. I'm wondering if there is a pocket of late December rut deer in the area.
Could be 2.5-3.5 months. There’s no set number of weeks on how long they stay spotted. There’s an average with some losing them at 2.5 and some holding them until 4.5.

Thanks. So that would put conception between mid-December and mid-January.
