I was trying to add some humor to the thread WEW. It obviously didn't work.
But, you did not say “ never heard of her”

I know, rookie mistake!!

Now AJ McCarron, who is another football player.

Where Charles Barkley, his name comes up from time to time?

Come on Alabama, we can do better.

I really have no use for Katie. Finbaum is a blow hard. It's going to be tough to go to the polls next year.

So what do we need to run? More crooked judges and lawyers?? They more qualified? Who knows...maybe aj got a degree......in something that he could use as lt gov? Nahhhhhhhh, lets get the mayor of b'ham...he's got public office experience. Or maybe the mayor of montgomery....he already lives in the capital.

I would never vote for Barkley except for maybe dog catcher. He's probably a very good guy, but i doubt he has the ability to lead our state, or a small city.

I dont know much about McCarron, other than he was a QB and has lots of silly tattoos.

Does McCarron have any experience running a business or organization where he is directly responsible for other people and financial decisions? Sure he has led an offense but was probably not responsible for calling the plays. He should be dog catcher first and maybe work his way up. Will not get my vote, neither did Katie.

Not that I can vote for any of them but has anyone else announced? A.J. just may be the best option. To answer Skinny's question, why would an engineer or someone like that subject them and their family to the crap that would come with it unless they have a screw loose with a power trip complex?

At least Tubberville was involved in running and managing multimillion dollar athletic programs. Part of this included being responsible for personnel and outcomes of the product.

I agree with the Republican part. Lots of former Demoncrats calling themselves R just to get elected. Dick Shelby and his hand picked lackey, and Grandmaw Ivey whom I despise.

No matter what you think of Britt, she does have experience on knowing how things operate in DC. Whether that is a plus or minus is a matter of opinion, but you can't say she doesn't have experience.

I know AJ well enough to talk to him if I see him and can say he shares the same values and thoughts as most of us here. As to his qualifications for LG, I can’t speak to that but I do know he is a good man.

At this point I just color in the little oval with the "R" beside it. I'm certainly not voting for a Democrat. And not voting is voting Democrat. There's just not another alternative.

I would vote Libertarian, but there's still a lot about them that I don't agree with either, and quite frankly most of the people that run in the Libertarian ticket seem kind of crazy.

I'm a member of the Libertarian party and a few years ago they sent me this nice, very serious letter asking if I would run for some local office in Cherokee County. That should tell you something about the kind of people running on the Libertarian ticket...

We need a real 3rd party and just call it the "Common Sense Party" it could be a political party that just didn't do stupid shit.
