We are here in Bibb County, River-bend area. Seeing doe drops in October this year. I’m guessing we have heard out of balance. What Y’all think?

We will burn that bridge when we get there

A property I am fairly new to in South AL has fawns with fading spots right now and they look too large to be conceived in mid to late January when the rut occurs for most of that area. I'm wondering if there is a pocket of late December rut deer in the area.

There’s an average with some losing them at 2.5 and some holding them until 4.5.

Really young ones kinda hop instead of run from what I’ve seen. Saw one this year thought it was a big rabbit til I saw mom as it hopped to her and then fell over. It then walked to her and they went back into the woods I figure this one is less than a week old Here’s one from July 21,2016 ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/3wNSP1MJ/IMG-9168.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/xd8xWRw7/IMG-9169.jpg)

Those could be coming from does that were bred their first year, which I always thought was a sign of a healthy herd. Have you seen any of the mothers? We sure seem to have a big fawn crop this year, and we had at least a couple on the ground in June. I've noticed several in the last couple of weeks that were a nice size for this early.

Years ago had a guy see two in a field last day of the season still in spots. Back during the years when it closed Jan 31 They weren’t small but probably two months or so from what he saw.

Just had 3 spotted fans walk under my stand. I'm guessing 6 to 8 weeks old.

Yes they are with their mothers. Been seeing lots of fawns on camera for a few months now.

I saw a small fawn today that could barely walk/hop off. Without a pic, what age would you guess?

Good mom right there too. She’d get a pass on my farm if I could ID her well enough.
