I'm planting the WMS Deer magnet this year. How does it compare to the co-op Big Buck blend? Any real world experience? The deer magnet is about $50 per bag vs $25 of the BBB.

Co op doesn't compare. Wms is great seed and great company. They will answer any questions you have.
Love a good hunting story, love my family and friends. Some people you can't, but acted like do.

That's all I planted was magnet with additional black oats at my place. Yeah but it's 1 bag/acre vs two bags of the 25$ blend.... so comes out comparable. I made the switch 4 years ago and won't go back.

Have been planting WMS seeds for several years. Great seeds. I plant their Deer Magnet, South East Cover, Lucky Seven and No Till. If you have questions they are easy to contact. Seeds come up great. Another brand I like is Buck Busters. Their bag is 50 lb. also per acre.

Planted mine two weeks ago had a small rain after planting. Honestly have more emergence than I would have thought. Mid 80s and low 60s at night. More rain Saturday should get solidify emergence. Highly impressed

Go w WMS. Nothing about their seed is second rate! I’d add some lbs of cereal grain though. WMS all the way!

Thanks guys I appreciate it. Actually planted about 8 acres of their dove magnet this summer and had great results with it. That's what pushed me towards the deer blends. I went and bought 20 bags of deer magnet today.. I also bought four bags of winter wheat to kinda mix in with it for no-till purposes in the spring. I think that should cover the approximate 12 acres or so, I need to plant

I used it for years and its good stuff. I've started planting nothing but tritacale the last couple years though. Only reason is because the deer hammer it and the turkeys seem to like nesting in it more

I love WMS Deer Magnet, but it’s not one bag per acre in my experience. Half a bag of black oats or triticale fills it in nicely though.
