I only use custom honed or bushing dies and I believe all those are considered match grade or custom. Not a fan of undersizing the neck and then pulling an expander ball back through it that can also negatively influence shoulder bump consistency. Plus I want to work the necks as little as possible.
If you short much, the cost difference between dies is irrelevant.
I don’t believe you’ll see a difference on paper at 100 yards. But the SDs should be better with a better die and your brass will most definitely have a longer service life the less you work it. So if you shoot enough, a “good” die actually saves you money.
