Its my favorite beach on the planet because of FREEDO I never go during holidays or weekends which are really never overcrowded anyways. I go during the week and off season and its desolate. It reminds me of so many parks out west, you wanna die…have at it ! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 This place is great if you like camping and being alone, my company has a plant right across the border in Matamoros. We camped out there a couple of weekends and I loved it, We also went to the Mexico side, but there are too many less than desirable folks out there. They have a public boardwalk area with restrooms and showers called Malaquite beach but I usually don’t light there, I drive on down the beach generally about 7 miles but sometimes 55 miles. I just drive my rig up to the water and pop open a Corona. My toes in the water and azz in the sand. Teenagers looking for a party would hate it. https://www.nps.gov/places/malaquite-beach.htm
