I rolled the dice on Portland 1/22 alternate and got the email this morning bumping me to Hunter status. Would love any advice that might help me make it count once I get my area assignment!

My dad got upgraded to hunter for Fred T. on 12/11. I've heard it's not known for big deer but there are good numbers of deer. Suits us fine to fill the freezer

I received an email at 2 pm today saying I was selected as an alternate for Little River in late January. I accepted it. Ten minutes later I was accepted automatically as a Hunter. I was not given the chance to accept or decline.
Fifteen minutes later I received another email stating I was an Alternate for a primitive weapons hunt at Cedar Creek. That is giving me a choice to accept or decline. I don’t think I should be able to accept the this Alternate hunt.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Didn’t get drawn for any of these. I did get drawn for a TN quota bow hunt 15 miles from the Smokey mountain national park. I’ve also put in for two Kentucky deer hunts and three Kentucky pheasant hunts. 🤞🏻

I’ll be hunting Crow Creek SOA opening weekend. Had 6 preference points and got initially drawn as an alternate and moved up to Hunter today. I’m fired up about it! Anyone have any insight on Crow Creek? I scouted it last year for a Duck draw and saw insane buck sign.

yes sir, this actually happened to me also today. i had taken an alternate at uchee on 1/8 and 5 mins was bumped to hunter so i was waiting on my daughter to get her schedule for january and received an alternate status on a 1/22 hunt on uchee which i declined. it shows hunter on 1/8 but didnt get an email about it so im really confused right now

When are the scout day(s) for Cedar Creek deer hunt? I drew 1/15 deer hunt at Cedar Creek.
When do I get to scout it? I’m familiar with how the scout day works for SOA turkey, but this is first I’ve drawn and deer hunt.
