Got picked as an Alternate for Geneva State Forest Dog deer hunt on 12/05/25. That was only hunt I got selected for.

Nothing for me on the preference points side of things, but my son got selected for a youth hunt. I accepted, but will probably need to cancel. I think he's got a math tournament that weekend.

None not even an alternate but it is a good thing as baby is coming in December and likely wouldn’t be able to go anyways

Mrs. Bamaeyedoc got picked for all the hunts she was registered for at Portland Landing, Cedar Creek, and Thigpen Hill (17 total hunts, gun, either sex). She had 7 points. I got nada for the same hunts. Not even alternate with 4 points. I wonder what she will choose?🤔😂

Nada. Didn't even limit myself to the rut gun hunts. I had 3 points. So it'll be a few years before I'm drawn.

Wife got Geneva dog hunt.
Allegedly, you don’t lose your points as an alt unless getting selected as hunter, so I’m debating either doing for the alt for Portland muzzleloader, or rejecting and holding off for a likely portland gun hunt next year closer to the rut (I had 5 points)
