There are probably several on this site old enough to remember the old tethered Cox funny cars and planes.

IF you could ever get them to start - they were pretty short lived after crashes.
I wanted one when I was about ten and got one for Christmas. My dad and I took it out that morning. We started it and my dad was going to test it out. It took off, made a pass or two, and promptly nose dived and obliterated and that was that. I never got another one and really didn't want another one after that. The whole neighborhood had them and I can still hear the high pitch little engines running.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
