He got me a gas powered RC helicopter for Christmas a few months later. Put about a thimble full of gas in it and it took off like a bat outta hell headed south. Never saw it again There are probably several on this site old enough to remember the old tethered Cox funny cars and planes. IF you could ever get them to start - they were pretty short lived after crashes.
