Interesting, never seen one before. I reckon rain water filled it, this one isn’t close to any water source

A lot of times they would take the pump top away to be used somewhere else. Look for a hole or a pile of concrete/rocks nearby.

I’d hate to hit that thing going through the woods wide open.
This is why I stopped running to catching up to a flopping shot gobbler.
Always worried I’m Gonna snap off a leg in a stump hole or something like that.
Well, the way I see it is there's just too many assholes On a good day there's a bunch of assholes in here. On a bad day there's too many assholes in here.

When I was young we used to spray cattle with Lindane, don't think you can get it anymore. And i am sure whatever was put in the vat is no longer legal to use either.

I spray mine with permethrin. I’ve heard folks putting all kinds of different stuff on their cows. Diesel/motor oil mix, garlic, bout everything

I got called by grandma one day to dip her dog (25#). I got there and she handed me a bottle and told me there was a washtub outside. Walking out the door, I looked at the bottle and the first thing I saw was a skull and crossbones, with the statement “Do not use near household pets”. The bottle was to be mixed with 100 gallons of water and used to spray fencerows. I went back inside and asked her if she knew what it was. She didn’t, but it was what Pop used to dip the cows. After the cows had been through, he would grab his coon hounds and throw them in. I read her the label, she, laughed and said “Well. That explains the cat.”

Don’t want to mess around old dipping pits. When we dug artifacts near Lake Apopka, which was a big ag area, a buddies legs started stinging and itching badly and he left early. Next day he called me from the hospital. They never figured out what he got in but the Gus’s was it was an old dipping area. Whatever it was messed him up bigly.

I think it might have been called coppertox i cant remember. But im pretty sure it came in a black and gold can, and smelled like hell. If you got it on you you smelled like that for a week. It was a livestock dip, but if you dog had fleas you could fill up a drum of that nasty crap, grab him by the collar and dunk him over his head. Wouldn't be a flea left when he came out and wouldn't have another one for months. Thats what most used back then. Pretty sure you cant get it anymore, but i used it alot in 80s and early 90s and im still here, lol
