Get him a drone. Make sure it has a return function if it loses signal. Get something with longer signal that you think you need.

He got me a gas powered RC helicopter for Christmas a few months later. Put about a thimble full of gas in it and it took off like a bat outta hell headed south. Never saw it again Had the same experience with my nephew’s chopper. One and done.
