Simpson is making reads decisions and throws after just his third start, that Milroe couldn’t do after starting a couple games in 22, all games in 23 and 24. Simpson is a QB. Milroe was an athlete trying to be a QB. There’s a big difference.

Bamas o line still sucks this year too, so that excuse doesn’t hold water anymore.

What was wrong with Simpson the first game of the year?

First start in 4 yrs jitters, WRs with 6-7 drops, rest of the team playing like crap. Milroe would fumbled twice and thrown a couple picks in that same situation. Who knows, what was wrong you tell me. You’re the expert.

O line played terrible and he didn’t have time to read. The o line looks tremendously better against stunts and twists in the 2nd and 3rd game. Not getting beat near as much. These last two teams are a heck of a lot slower than FSU.

I’m not an expert, but things are what they are for a reason. Simpson does read better than Milroe when he has time. And the last two games he hasn’t had to worry near as much about pressure. It happens but not every single pass play. It doesn’t mean that Milroe couldn’t read. But Simpson doesn’t seem to miss as many you are correct about that. Hopefully he will go 31/32 against Georgia.
