He was on a college campus which is basically a giant wifi umbrella so his phone would have been pinging routers all over the campus. If his bluetooth was turned on that would have left a trail of bluetooth device pings across the area as well. College campuses are like shopping malls with thousands of wifi and bluetooth gadgets everywhere.
If they can isolate a particular phone they can track gps location fluidly
Ours phones send messaging continually it’s just depends on picking the correct phone
Early on in the beginning of digital photography a gps location was recorded. Why would they need that to make photographs.
Information is valuable
Walmart was tracking customers way back when in the early 90s. They didn’t isolate but instead had software that looked for certain parameters. These days it’s all about each individual. 10 people can ask google the same question and you’ll get as many different searches. It’ll depend on previous preferences etc…. Depending on the history of the user.
I’d imagine this event all resources were expended.
