Just saw a close up of him sitting on his chair prior to the shot. Given how his chest looked and the way his shirt covered his pecs and nips, I do not believe he was wearing a vest or plates.

I wonder if the shooter had enough forethought to turn his phone on airplane mode. If not it should’ve been pinging a nearby tower. I’m sure the FBI has enough prowess to run all those pings and come up with names that may match motive. I’d bet he had social media that may link him. Also hoping there is dna evidence. Pics show him with out gloves

I'm curious about the bullet. It's certain that the bullet was retrieved as well as his vest. Also, he was likely dead on impact because the angle of the bullet would have pierced his C-1,C-2, occipital bone area which is always 100% instantly fatal.

I remember watching a documentary news piece, I think it was John Stossel, and they had this device that you plugged your phone into and it would intercept all the data that the phone was sending back to the mothership basically. They took the phone in the normal mode and ran around doing errands and as you would imagine when they plugged the phone in it tracked all the location data and uploaded all of it.
Here's the interesting part...
They did the same thing with the phone in Airplane Mode, plugged it in and it uploaded almost the exact same data.
Here's the even more interesting part...
They turned the phone completely off, did the same thing, and it still tracked their route, stops, how long they stopped, the whole nine yards.
So their experiment proved that your phone will track you even when in Airplane mode or even when it's turned completely off, as long as you have it with you.

He was on a college campus which is basically a giant wifi umbrella so his phone would have been pinging routers all over the campus. If his bluetooth was turned on that would have left a trail of bluetooth device pings across the area as well. College campuses are like shopping malls with thousands of wifi and bluetooth gadgets everywhere.
