I've worked in colleges for 32 years, and you don't casually stroll up onto the roofs of college buildings unless you're part of the maintenance staff. It wouldn't be something you could do without some planning. Even at poor community colleges you would be on security footage almost everywhere you went.
So are you thinking this is a distraction from what is actually going on ?

No, I have no big point or conspiracy theory here. I truly have not the first clue who is responsible or what his motive is. I was just thinking about how hard or easy it would be on a well-funded campus with modern buildings to get up on a roof with a rifle unnoticed. My initial inclination is that it would take very careful planning and thorough knowledge of the building.

I was about to say. Seriously doubt anyone is manning those cameras. They’re more for figuringnourbhwatvhappening than preventing anything. I’m sure certain building have more surveillance than others.

Bolt cutters to cut the lock. Also it was said he jumped down so I kinda wondered if it was easy to climb up in from other locations kinda like the Trump shooter accessing the roof there

I just looked at it on Google Earth. Access is so easy it is flat out dumb. There is an outdoor stairwell that leads right to the roof.

Somewhat interesting that a bullet fired from an elevated position would ricochet up in a very large piece after impact. Equal and opposite reaction and all but, would think angle of plate or body movement would have changed trajectory and only spall would have gotten him.
