Was this an inside job meant to be an attempt on his life (unknown to Charlie) for some unknown agenda? Would make sense that a trained sniper could hit center mass (Plate) and he survives. The bullet didn't cooperate and traveled up the plate and hit neck. Could be. I have no idea - just have to wait and see. I hope our current crop of fed leos does a better job than what we've gotten used to. DEI hires have severely impacted effectiveness throughout our society and it seems to have had a disparate impact on that profession. Our local and state guys aren't really good for much other than running over our family and friends in high speed chases and shooting every dog they encounter. LEOs are here to solve crimes not prevent them, DEI has nothing to do with this incident... If you honestly believe DEI hiring (especially at the federal level) has nothing to do with every situation, you have blinders on. Case in point was a gaggle of lardass SS girls running around in circles with no idea what to do (The US Secret Service claimed they were the best, brightest and most efficient in the world) when Trump was shot at Butler. The most pathetic infantry unit in existence would have been infinitely better at the job.

Why would the shooter who wanted to get away leave that kind of evidence behind if the shooter did not want to distract and deflect the investigation? This was a planned hit job assassination not a crazy trans activist.

Only someone with very limited resources would need for it to be in that public forum. You do it this way to instill fear. If we publically executed people, don't you think murder rates would drop?

Actually, no. I am not against capital punishment that fits the crime; but it has never been proven to deter homicides. These people; obviously, are not thinking rationally when they murder somebody. Like if they just assault the victim they will only get 20 years; but if they kill them they will get executed.

I was in Saudi Arabia before, during and after Desert Storm. They handle criminals brutally, but it absolutely deters crime. The only crimes I saw over there was committed by other service members.
You’ll never stop a person willingly wanting to die for Allah, but day in and day out it absolutely does. Tougher penalties equate to less crime. I mean LOOK at what’s happening with the opposite scenarios now.
