Quailman do some math on not taking SS for 8 years, how many years will it take you to make that amount up at 70, longer than you will probably live! I took mine the first day I could! Yeah buddy, that's what I'm planning too! Plus the thing to consider is what the money will be worth now vs in the future. The longer you wait, the less the money is going to be worth even though you will be getting a bigger check and even though they have cost of living increases. The later money will buy less stuff. Another thing to consider is if you take the SS money now it means the less money you need to take from your 401k or IRA now and you can leave that money in there and let it grow and earn interest.
