Here's a topic I've been having with my co-workers. I turn 62 next March. I've said I'm drawing my Social Security. They keep telling me if you wait till I'm 70, I'll get more. I know this, but may not even be around at 70. My health isn't all that great at 61. I'm drawing my money while I can. Been paying in since I was 15. Gonna get it while I can. A lot of factors involved , 70 may be fine for your co-workers , or maybe they just think it is. Some folks 62 is best , some 65-67 , some 70. I'm a bird in the hand guy, I took my SS at 62 and rolled my 401k into a self directed IRA and haven't touched it . It's what I'll be taking at 70 ish. If I check out my estate get's my 401k/IRA $ , but Uncle Sam will keep my SS $
"Why do you ask"?
Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.
