For those of you in Northwest Alabama, I am going to do a band trip fundraiser, as our band is going to Chicago to perform in the St Pattys day parade ( I have 3 girls in the band going). To help cover the cost I have fixed a dove field in my hayfield. I planted strips of Brown Top Millet in May, have been spraying, mowing, and burning them over the last 3 weeks. I disk some of the outside bands today and will top sew wheat on them tomorrow working my way in to the center of the field by next Saturday. The field is about 30 acres, and we should be able to fit 15-20 shooters. I will include a BBQ sandwich, chips, and drink for lunch prior to the hunt as well. I will have BBQ ready at noon, and we can start shooting about 2:00. A $100 donation per adult shooter would be appreciated. We will have plenty of water iced down and my girls will be helping with things through out the day.
This is to be a family event, absolutely no alcohol, or rude behavior please!
Right now we have several birds on the field, if the cool weather doesn’t run them off this week.
If you have questions or want to reserve a spot shoot me PM.
The field is west of Hamilton in the Shottsville area.

Very nice gesture and hope you have success. Just a suggestion, but you may want to post this on the main board simply for more views.

Well burned the last of the millet today, still good number of birds. Stands all set with hay bales to sit between on the field. My brother will post some drone pictures tonight. I have a few more spots available if anyone is interested shoot me a PM.
Thank you to Skinny for allowing this will make a donation to Aldeer as well as part of this. Thank you, Shotts

Sounds like a good time and I know the band will appreciate it. If I didn't already have somewhere to go, I'd be on board. That field looks great. Hope y'all have a lot of birds!
