No doubt in my mind who would be my #1… Demeco Ryans. By the time Bama can afford to rid themselves of DeBoer, hopefully ‘Meco will be available.

Debose only has a $70 million buyout.

Bet y'all bammers won't be laughing at TAMU anymore for paying a fortune for Jimbo to go away...

I don't think coaching matters nearly as much as it did when you could recruit a class and coach them for 3-5 years. It's just moneyball now.

On one hand Deboer was a dumbass to agree to follow Saban, but on the other hand he was a genius to sign for a 70mil buyout.

I’m not a bama fan so maybe this is a dumb suggestion, but what about Kirby Smart?

Kirby's at his Alma Mater and I don't think bammers would pony up the astronomical amount it would take to get him if they could even raise that much money. Kirby aint leaving GA except when he get tired of it or in the ole Pine box.

Culture issue at Bama right now. Is some of that Deboer's fault? Yes, probably. But I think it is more of an overall issue with the new landscape of college ball. It is disproportionately affecting Bama at this point. Started to see it a little bit at the tail end of last year and now it is really coming to light this season

I've learned from watching college football for all these years is that if a staff doesn't treat the players the same year around, curfews, meetings, workouts, etc. then Summers are going to be bad and that will bleed into fall and the season. This is why some of the strictest disciplinarians such as Saban or Dye have excelled and some good coaches, and Chizek comes to mind first, didn't cut it.

I didnt play ball for as long as most, my career ended after college but I never once had a coach who wasnt "mean" to me that I actually respected

I saw it talked about on the dynasty podcast with trent richardson, Chris Stewart, and MCCarron. But it aint really hard to figure out. the first thing they want to do is jump on Deboer over it, and while yes he might be part of the problem, its not totally his fault. and it is not hard to figure out. I remember back during the summer my wife showing me tik toks of the Bama players dancing and acting like jackasses. Not really hard to see the fruits of that

Bama just needs to pony up the NIL money. Bama NIL 13 mil in 2024. Notre Dame NIL 20.5 mil in 2023, not reported how much this year. Ohio State 20 mil in 2024. Texas 22 Mil for 2025. Miami amount not listed but says estimated to be 10s of millions. Michigan 16.3 mil in 2024. Oregon 40 mil in 2024. A&M spent over $50 mil across all sports in 2024. FSU is supposedly revenue sharing with the players in addition to the donor funds available through their recently established NIL collective, actual amount not provided. All you need to know is that Norvell said in his post game interview, paraphrased: "Thanks to the FSU boosters for supplying the NIL money to enable us to build this team. Without you, this would not have been possible." My how college football has changed.

I could get behind John G. or Lane to take the helm.

Abolt. Bama's loss wasn't from a lack of talent. They have one of the best rosters, talent-wise as anyone is CFB. Bama was outcoached and outhustled Saturday.
