I have a picture from several years ago with a hen and a single 2-3 day old poult on Sept 1. Saturday, I saw a hen in Hinds Co, MS with 5 poults that were slightly bigger than those in your photo. I bet there were a lot of later hatches this year due to unsuitable conditions early on. It’s amazing how these things do what they do to survive. If y’all are doing the poult survey in MS somebody might want to record those I saw. 😁
