9 people on one machine? Idiots.

I can't imagine what liability insurance is for an off road park.

I'm sure they were just having fun. Those ATV parks always seem to last for a while until something like this happens. Its basically inevitable and it only takes a second for things to go bad. Prayers for all of them, thats a terrible situation.

A major holiday weekend and a public ATV Park with a majority of the people there under the age of 30 sounds like bad decisions will be the norm rather than the exception. Sad the 2 people were killed but the children will have to live with this memory for a life time.

Boggs and Boulders just into Conecuh County near Brooklyn opened in April of 2009 and Southern Ridge ATV Park (ATVs only) opened in 2018 near Brantley still draw big crowds. I know of one major accident in which someone was air lifted from Boggs and Boulders and of one accident at Southern Ridge that sent to people I know to the local ER.

Both offer lots of mud to take your expensive toy into to tear up, too. I know everyone needs a hobby but this one is sure expensive IMO.

I have never been, but have friends who have and our oldest son has been to both and used to go to Boggs pretty regularly until he got divorced. He started out with a 4 wheeler and then bought a Polaris Ranger UTV and would take both out there for awhile. Then he retired the 4 wheeler. But he spent lots of money fixing both after tearing them up out there.

I was traveling I-65 near this exit last month. Almost every truck towing a trailer had a torn up ATV on it

Terrible accident.

We used to travel all over the place riding SXS in these parks.
Never had an issue and always had a dang good time.
We really liked Indian Mountain because it was more trail riding than mud.
My favorite part of Indian Mountain was the night rides.

Also, never tore up my machine riding these parks.

My wife and I were at Children's hospital to visit Vera. The guy in front of us at the check in desk was one of the babbies daddys. I'm almost 100% sure. Grandmother was in the waiting area, they were having all kind of trouble getting in because the dad had no id. Grandmother appologized to everyone in line because they were taking so long. She told my wife she had lost two kids yesterday, and her grandkids where there. All my wife could do was give her a hug, very sad.

I've been to a lot of them, just a bunch of accidents waiting happen. To much risks, with 0 rewards.

I started to type about this is nonsense redneck decision making … but I can’t say the behavior is any better in my own neighborhood in golf carts. Carts loaded down with 8 10 year old girls going around curves too fast, etc.

This stuff is recipe for disaster and little kids don’t know any better or deserve the consequences. Just doing what their parents allow.

My worst fear is something like this happening to my kids while outside of my direct supervision

Well, I'll be the one to say it. I'm not glad anyone died, but if two had to die, I'm glad it was the adults who should've known better instead of the innocent children that didn't have a say in the matter.

Golf carts. They ride them everywhere here in Hilton Head. Granted this is a golfing community, but geez. People drive them to restaurants. Grocery store. Everywhere. And on the roads and highways.

This incident has got the politicians calling for regulations... shocker. We really need more laws to prevent stupid people from doing stupid things.

It's a tragedy for sure, but put NINE people in a Polaris RZR, nobody in harnesses and go speeding down rough trails, it's easy to see this outcome. Unfortunately, the children are the ultimate victims because of the stupidity of adults.

I'm sure this ATV park will soon be sued out of existence.

I would presume they have an injury waiver or something that is signed or implied:
