Ruptured a disc in my back picking up a load I should have had help with. Few cuts working with aluminum sheet but nothing really bad.
Others were not as fortunate: One man lost his fingers on his left hand when a metal splicer came down on his hand. It was the workers fault as this same process had been done millions of times before. He just stuck his hand in the machine too far.
Heptane fire burned 13 workers. Some had 3rd degree burns and if not for the sprinkler systems being activated before the Heptane ignited, this could have been catastrophic!
One man lifted a load with a hand dolley and raised the load too high. When he tried to move the load the dolley kicked back on him and trapped him from the waist down under it. Young man was paralyzed from the waist down from the accident.
One young lady had a pair of cotton gloves on and was feeling the edge of metal that was being spooled at a moderate rate of speed. A burr on the metal edge pulled her hand into a set of rollers and the metal proceeded to cut her arm practically off.
There were other incidents but these happened while I was there! I’m glad the Good Lord took care of me!
I can't stand a thief.

You must have been in an aluminum plant also. We had a guy sawing tubing one night it would clamp the tubes then the saw would come across. It clamped his hand and cut 4 fingers off. A friend of mine was feeling a rubber roll on the tension level one night. There was a piece of metal stuck leaving a dent in the sheet. It rolled his arm up in the rolls mangled it bad. Another guy got hit by a big fork truck running over his arm. A whole lot of cuts went on
