I don't know what happened but very early on there seemed to be a coverup or hesitation to dig into the facts. I suspect some parents of the kid/kids involved are influential in the city and that would explain a lot. Above all, #1 I hope the young man makes a full recovery with no lasting damage. #2 I hope that if this happened in a criminal manner that the guilty are given appropriate punishment and this includes anybody involved in a coverup if there was one.
