A few years something similar played out around here and the kid was finally vindicated yet Al the damage was down to him. Lost his job and much more but finally met a nice gal and settled down

It’s horrible how these things can build up so much angst

He don't what the truth is about what really happened. He was not there just like none of us were and is just saying what he was told by others that were there and telling there own side of what happened. 3 sides to every story, his side, her side and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I don't know what happened but very early on there seemed to be a coverup or hesitation to dig into the facts. I suspect some parents of the kid/kids involved are influential in the city and that would explain a lot. Above all, #1 I hope the young man makes a full recovery with no lasting damage. #2 I hope that if this happened in a criminal manner that the guilty are given appropriate punishment and this includes anybody involved in a coverup if there was one.

I started seeing some of it on my social media stuff. Some of those kids know the truth.

the 911 call that was released correlates with the original and second story told to me by people that were or knew firsthand accounts

The only thing debatable at this time is was it intentional or not

Both sides are saying what I stated, one side says not intentional the other says it was

The Karen’s have turned it into some grandiose bs story that’s the issue

There are things I’ve been told but will not say simply because I don’t know if it to be true and may or may not be relevant. Some of it may come out in the end

I’m calling out the Karen’s, not any family

It appears as a coverup because at first it was deemed accidental until it was pushed on Friday when I first heard of it. Over the weekend it metastasized into some grandiose scheme

The admin should’ve come out Monday and said this is what we know at this time and give a timeline.

They didn’t I’m guessing because the kids being juvys and pending lawsuits. It appears that went into protection mode or dumbassery or both

The one family is well known but so is the other Heck almost everyone involved from kids to families to judiciary/law enforcement know each other in some way or another
That’s the complicated part

No one covering up anything but agree it appears that way

We kinda laughed that the one family was very wealthy. I asked if they had money I didn’t know about

The dad has a really good job and they don’t want for food etc…. But nothing extravagant, no more than most in here


I’ll add that one of the attending docs at UAB supposedly said those injuries were not from a fall which prompted other docs to say they have seen such cases with falls with those injuries in their practices. Notice I said plural doctors says they have.

I think that’s where the contention ramped up from

Mybrother n law has showed me what theyre saying about it on FB. I dont look at FB so i dont know. But what Carter is saying sounds about like what my bro n law has been saying. 18yo QB beat the younger backup QB half to deathfor saying hes a pedo. Then was claimed he fell down 3 steps and got all tbose injuries. That is the second hnd news through the FB grapevine

Let me ask as a non involved person have the kids who actually saw the incident been interviewed by law enforcement? We had a hazing incident where cocky Defensive end 6'3 220lbs picked on new kid Defensive line 5'9 270lbs it was all good til big boy had enough and started throwing elbows to the chest/throat of D.End Nobody saw heard knew anything. Coach T. Got those packs and made them load 50 lbs in each pack and it was going to be stadiums til somebody talks or I get tired of watching y'all run. Truth spilled out like Niagara Falls.

Is there any truth that school officials took witnesses to the gym and made them sign any paperwork?

The older boy said he went limp and couldn’t hold him up idk. That’s the issue. No fight happened just a grabbed him up and either dropped him or threw him down. Most are saying he went limp and dropped him

The case has been handed off to other than original LEO investigators. Does this indicate that somebody on the original LEO side was too close to carry out an open, objective, professional and honest investigation? Whatever the reason(s) it has been handed to the Franklin County Sheriff and Madison County DA's offices to complete the investigation. That in itself raises questions of a coverup.

NDAs are illegal for minors to sign without a parent just like be being questioned unless a felony was committed which at the time didn’t appear to be the case

No where have I seen or heard he lost a pulse or coded

Unless the law has changed drastically, it is not illegal, as Carter says, for LE to question juveniles without a parent or guardian present. The juveniles do have the right to have one there if they wish as well as having a lawyer present. In Alabama they are made aware of these rights just like Miranda. The reading of these rights is very close to Miranda but with the part about a parent being present if they wish is added.

My first thought was it was a hazing incident and the school didn’t want to publicize this and that left them wide open for the Karenfest on Facebook. To be clear though this is my first impression and I then quit reading about it because of the stupidity on the case. I’ll trust the professionals to investigate and then read about it. I just don’t believe professional people with good jobs would risk those jobs and possibly criminal charges just to keep a high school QB eligible.
