I've had all kinds of cuts/burns/bruises, etc. I guess my worst or most dangerous was a 5/8th winch cable snapping during power wrapping and slapping me. I'm sure some of yall have some near death experiences, would love to hear them.

Torn meniscus with surgery . Several near misses the still scare me. Roll formers and large presses are dangerous !

Broken back at L6/7, ruptured disk at C5, broken wrist, concussion, torn abdominal wall…..all same incident. OSHA doesn’t exist in the Army overseas. Lol

While working at a restaurant in college, I cut my wrist while cleaning 2 glass coffee pots and they hit each other and broke. Bled really bad. Needed stitches but I was too naive to know about workman’s comp. Manager told me I didn’t need to go to doctor. Little did I know he was trying to not have a workman’s comp claim. It was a gaping wound so I went 2 days later to the doc and he said it was too late to sew it up. So a bandage and antibiotics was the way it was handled. I have a pretty nice scar today.

I had three ribs pull away from my spine a few months ago. Does that count?

In 2008 I fell backwards off a loading dock onto concrete…. Landed on left elbow resulting in radial head fracture. Still can’t straighten out that arm like I used to.

Broke wrist. Never had it set. Still bothers me. I was on a jobsite once when a guy got his head cut off. He was working on top of an elevator in a double car shaft. The other car was still in operation and had been going up and down past him numerous times. They figure he got so use to it he wasn’t even paying attention to it anymore and leaned out as the car was coming down. Caught him in the back of the head and decapitated him. I won’t say the jobsite or the General contractor but it was in Birmingham. Happened back in either 2007 or 2008.

Company gaurd dog bit me as I walked between the factory and the office building. Not a lost time injury but it spooked around German Shepherds for a few years. I was head down looking at the plans I was taking to the office to discuss with the plant manager when it came up and grabbed my left arm with authority. I had it hanging from my arm on the tips of its back feet when it let go. I was trying to figure out what to do and had not arrived at pull my knife out my pocket or nothing yet. It was over faster than it started. Now we have two of them and they are very loyal.

Cut part of my right thumb of on a press break. Tore my rotator cuff and bicep on my right shoulder, getting out of a large forklift and got hung up and fell. A glowing piece of freshly cut metal all the way through pants and sock to leg bone, hurt the worse of all. 27 years in a metal shop, shits bound to happen eventually.
Love a good hunting story, love my family and friends. Some people you can't, but acted like do.

Had a bearing cap dropped on my finger...cut clean to the bone and chipped the bone. Had several stitches Was using a mag drill to drill into beams overhead. Had my safety glasses on, but still wound up with a piece of metal in my eye. Didn't really bother me until later that night when my eye started constantly watering and became irritated. Got up the next morning and went to the eye doc. He used what amounted to a dremel tool to drill the piece of metal out. Was weird having my eyeball drilled on and not being able to feel it
