I think a lot depends on how often you use the trailer too. If it’s twice a year, tire wear won’t matter. I got a 6x12 single axle for the Polaris, does fine. Same here. 6x12 single axle is probably the best bang for you buck. But I'm not hauling every weekend either.

Got a regular can-am hd10 it fits on my 6x10, it fills up the trailer ,already had it so no need to buy another plus don’t haul it around but a few times a year, also got a 25’ gooseneck if needed

The 14’ is long enough for a 6 seater SXS but light enough to move it by hand or pull it around the house loading down logs and such. I’d love a tandem axle but just won’t pull it enough (I believe), or far enough to spend the extra $1500.00.

6.5 x12 single but would rather have dual axle.
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts,hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

I found a 6’x14’ tandem on the book of faces that I’m going to look at Tuesday. Looks good in pics and has a good price. If it’s as nice in person I’m going to get it. Got to looking at some of the things I’ll be needing to haul and think I’ll regret it if I don’t go with a tandem axle.

I use a 6.5x14. It’s one of my lawn care trailers and I don’t haul the SxS(Polaris 800) but a couple times a year. My advice with equipment trailers is buy more than you “need”. I’ve never wanted less deck space when I’m headed to camp. Two axles is 4 times better than a single. Not having to fill with a blown tire immediately on the side of the interstate in the middle of your drive will be well worth the extra you pay.

I looked at his reviews and he seems to have several good reviews from folks that have dealt with him. The only bad one he had was from a guy that apparently didn’t show up when he was supposed too. I’m always cautious with online deals though. Thanks again though.

Tandem is better, especially if you wind up blowing a tire. That being said, I haul mine on a single axle trailer I built. I thought about building a double axle trailer, but decided against it because of cost. I built it 12x6.5.
In my mind, 12 foot is too short for a double axle trailer. If I would have built a double axle trailer, I would have built it 14'. Tubing comes in 24' sticks and sheet steel for a floor was 4' wide. So on top of an extra axle and 2 more tires, I would have had another stick of tubing and another sheet of steel. It already cost me $1700 to build it like I wanted. It would have cost me $2500 or more to build it as a double axle. So I just decided to build it as a single and put as good of tires as I could find on it.
