I got an email about one of the properties I hunt in the middle of last season. Club runner said if y'all don't start shooting does Ima find people to replace you. I think he actually used a couple expletives. It's little wonder why deer aren't being killed.
Most of the club is old dudes who ain't dragging anything and probably shouldn't. There're not enough younger fellas to always be around to drag for them. I've pushed the opinion that it is actually necessary to have younger fellas around for a club to function. Buck lust, aiming for exclusivity, keeping youngsters killing little deer out, is actually ruining hunting for the older set. Young bucks killing freely are necessary to keep hunting viable for everyone.
