Why would he give Alaska to Russia after he promised the lower 48 to Israel? I guess he found something in a data center that said it was a good idea.

I'm not pro or anti-solar. I'm against good farmland being used for solar. Put them down the median of the interstates and highways, that would be enough to fill the gaps in the grid. Car wrecks would be the same kind of issue we have with guardrails and other crap today.
Just the fact is, getting solar up and running is 10x faster than other methods, and data centers need that kind of speed or else they wont make money.
Small nuke reactors are awesome but they are still a ways out from being practical for everywhere. Fortunately we still live in a (mostly) free Country and landowners can decide how they want to use their land. Don’t forget our tax dollars are paying for farmland to sit idle across the US. Besides, data centers need more reliability than solar even combined with batteries can provide. For the record, I hate seeing farmland and timberland converted to solar as much as the next guy. But if I owned the land, I dang sure don’t want the government telling me what I can and can’t do with it.
